My favorite picks from the French Connection Sale!
White against white makes me go weak in the knees. Not the most practical or effortless to carry off, but if you manage to work it, you manage to make yourself look like a million bucks.
Been loving coral compulsively this season- stocked it well in my wardrobe too (as you can see!).
Wearing Topshop white offshoulder tunic, Vintage Pants, Zara Shoes, Michael Kors watch & Dorothy Perkins bag.
Coming up soon is a post on our favorite time of the year. Yes, beats Christmas to the No. 1 position too. SALE! Season. Stay tuned for more :)
Sometimes a wrong turn in Google-land can take you to a very right place :)
So I was doing my usual digital wander around the inter-web and I came across these beauties. I don't care if the shoes are last season and I'm late on the game, I think these pictures are totally rad. Its never too late for a little inspiration ♥
This had me in splits when I first saw it!
Contrary to popular beliefs Maybelline’s colossal kajal does not directly refer tot its ‘colossal’ advertisements but infact, more than lives up to the expectations the hype is built around.
The black is of an intensified, classic and shiny finish, but my favorite feature is a distinct glide which gives an exceptional smoothness during application.
Maybelline promises us 6 hours of smudge resistant wear like never before. And yes that’s true – it didn’t budge, smudge or fade!
Priced at Rs 150, I’m under the opinion that it offers us too many advantages for a price too little. (Read: BUY.)
When I came across this tiny charmer at amazon.com there was no way I wasn’t going to have it. Can you imagine the extent of adorability stuffed into this tiny book? A fashion-tastic spoof on nursery rhymes, these tongue in cheek poems keep you hooked on in stifled giggles. A gorgeous keepsake for your bookcase!
This is probably not the first time that there’s been a recap of the 70’s on Style-Fiesta. (Remember this post?) History has a silent elegance when it repeats itself on recent runways and trends- and I envisage the amusing reality of my grandfathers favorite statement- ‘Old is Gold.’
United with the neon top and monochrome statement sling, this outfit is skillfully a Jack of all trades. Befitting for a brunch, a dinner, or a party! Makes me realize that I should seriously invest in more ensembles like these.
Hmm, calls for some shopping?
Wide leg high waists - London boutique, Neon Top- Marks & Spencer, Sling - Jane Norman, Michael Kors watch, Vintage bracelet
Lets be honest – I’m in love with this collection. Emilio Pucci’s resort collection presents a color palette so perfect that it makes all other color palette’s you’ve ever seen seem like last night left over’s. Slightly overdone maybe? Nonetheless, perfectly in sync with my taste. Makes me want to crawl inside these precisely-shrunken, tailored schoolboy suits and settle down forever. The zebra accents do nothing but add to my enchantment.
“Resort comes naturally to me,” said Peter Dundas, and it’s easy to believe him with his sun-bleached, windswept hair and laid-back demeanor. “I love creating clothes that move, which this season is all about.”
Things to do : Stick a poster of Emilio Pucci’s resort collection on my ceiling, kick back and just hope the damn scoth tape gives out.
Anyone who knows me well knows I hate cooking. But anyone who knows me AT ALL knows I LOVE eating. This recipe sounded so damn scrumptious that even in all my hatred for the kitchen, the vessels, the procedures and the works I lifted my lazy self off the laptop and into the kitchen. My outcome was not the best, but well I'm known for my cooking disasters. Regardless, it LOOKS SO DELICIOUS – YOU GUYS HAVE GOT TO!
Tell me how it goes! :)
If you like raspberries and chocolate than this is your ice cream sandwich. The raspberry ice cream is not too tart and overly-sweet and it compliments the chocolate chip cookie. Thus letting the cookie share the spotlight.
The recipe for the the Raspberry Ice Cream is:
2 cups of heavy cream
1 1/4 cup of whole milk
1/2 cup of sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
4 egg yolk
Raspberry reduction of 1 1/2 lbs of frozen raspberries
To make the raspberry reduction place 1 1/2 lbs of frozen raspberries in a medium size sauce pan along with 1/4 of sugar and 1/4 cup of water let it reduce to a syrup consistency and then strain the reduction through a fine mesh strainer. If you like your ice cream with a little bit of texture and you can place one or two tablespoons of the seed and pulp back in the strained reduction. Let it cool and then we will add it to the ice cream base.
For the ice cream base in a medium size saucepan mix sugar, milk, 1 cup of cream and salt and place over medium heat stirring occasionally until it begins to bubble on side. In a medium size heatproof bowl place the egg yolks and lightly stir them. Once the milk and cream is at a slight boil temper the eggs with the mixture until all the milk and cream is in the bowl. Then pour the milk, egg and cream mixture back into the saucepan and then bring it up to 170 degrees (F). Then place the ice cream base in an ice bath. Pour in the rest of the cream and then add the vanilla and raspberry reduction. Let the mixture cool and then place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before churning in you ice cream maker.
Donning chessboard checks and the most exhilarating color palette in my opinion – this is easily the perfect example of an outfit that I’d want to live in everyday. As I slip it on and it graciously falls in sync with every curve of my body, the sheer brilliance of Indian dressing strikes me like a knock on the head. Flattering to every body type (yes even the aunty ji’s) it conveniently tucks in all those greasy cheeseburgers we gobbled over the weekend. Now what more could we possibly ask for?
A man like Prabal Gurung doesn’t need much introduction.
With a collection only over a year-and-a-half old, he's created waves in the industry like never before. His designs are living examples of what striving for perfection can achieve- ridiculously awesome. That, you guys, is commendable. It is simply the fact that his name rings more than a few bells in our heads in such an astonishingly limited time that proves to be inspiration enough.
Definitely not our typical ‘New Delhi to New York’ story, but guaranteed – its one worth telling.
When I first saw this red coat hanging nonchalantly in a hidden corner at a vintage store- a small part of me died of happiness. Had it known the torture and wear & tear it was going to be put through in the coming month, it probably would have made more of an effort to look less appealing. (Wait, that wouldn’t be possible.)
Bearing an intricately tailored frill and Victorian buttons, snuggling up in its soft wool was undeniably the best feeling in the world. I have been OBSESSING to tbe G over it - which explains the 21356789 times I wore it in a month : )
Totally makes me want to go on a fast to appeal to the weather Gods to give India a ‘real’ winter!
P.S.: Esprit is having a 50% sale from the 17th-19th - I suggest you guys run to the store for a very mature yet summery collection. Fabulous pinstripe shorts, casual tee's, and sun dresses!
