It was my brothers wedding a few weeks ago and I've decided to run a wedding series on the blog with my outfits. I hope you guys enjoy it :)

For the Mehendi function, our theme was Rajasthani, hence I wanted to try and be as traditional as possible with my look - right from my ensemble, to my jewelry, to my hair & makeup.
While buying my wedding outfits, I always took into consideration the suitability as per occasion. The fun, playful Mehendi evening called for bright, attractive colors and I chose the quintessential Mehendi hues - yellow and green. To give it a twist from a customary Lehenga, I requested for a unique drape as compared to the habitual Gujarati/Saree style.
For my jewelry, I chose a time-honored Kundan necklace. The earrings with this set were much bigger but I decided to replace them with oversized studs since I also wanted to incorporate a 'Nath'.
At first I was rather hesitant to wear the Nath, but in retrospection, I'm so glad I did. It added a touch of Indian mystique to the entire ensemble. Since I don't have a nose-ring piercing, it was slightly uncomfortable, but totally worth it!

With hair & makeup, I'm the kind of person that always insists on a very very light look, and as you can see it looked very natural and traditional. My hair was curled with tongs at the bottom and pinned at the top.
